This species is poorly known. It can be found in dry, humid (Amazonian), semi-deciduous forest, evergreen forest and even towns (Dolan 1989, Catzeflis et al. 2016). Like other members of the genus, it is an aerial insectivorous (Nowak 1999).	There are no major threats ;known ;to affect this species.	It is uncommon in most of South America, but could be locally common in some areas of Middle America (Reid 2009).
