Known from scattered localities in SE Myanmar , W & S Cambodia , SE Laos , and S Vietnam .	Hindfoot 5-9-7 mm, forearm 35-2-38-4 mm. No other specific measurements are available. Dorsal pelage of the Long-toothed Pipistrelle is blackish brown (hairs with paler tips), and ventral pelage lighter (hairs blackish brown on basal one-half and dirty white on distal one-half). Bare portions of face, ears, limbs, and wings are nearly black. Ears are relatively short and wide and somewhat rounded at tip; tragus is short and squarish. Tail extends a little beyond margin of uropatagium; calcar extends halfway to tail from ankle, and has narrow Postcalcarial lobe—Tless defined than in the Chinese Pipistrelle ( Hypsugo pulveratus ). Baculum has more developed base with enlarged lateral projection, narrowing shaft, and shallower ventral depression on tip when compared to the Chocolate Pipistrelle ( H. affinis ). Skull is large with relatively robust, long, narrow rostrum; rostral profile of skull is almost flat; braincase is flattened; there is no sagittal crest; lambdoid crest is pronounced; and basioccipital pits are shallow but visible. I* is bicuspid; C' and C, are relatively slender and long; P? is small and intruded but C' and P* are still separated; and lower molars are myotodont.	The Long-toothed Pipistrelle has been reported in lowland evergreen rainforest at elevations of 50-400 m throughout much ofits range, and is associated with limestone outcrops. All of the Vietnamese specimens came from Cat Tien National Park. One specimen was collected near the headquarters of the Park, close to the Dong Nai River. This area is generally described as lowland rain forest with dipterocarp trees (Görföl et al. 2014). Hypsugo dolichodon is closely associated with cave ecosystems. A single specimen was collected from Saddan-Sin Cave in Mon State, Myanmar (identified as Falsistrellus affinis by Bates et al. , 2005). The cave is situated in a large isolated limestone outcrop and is surrounded by paddy fields and toddy palms. Two additional specimens were collected at Indian Single Rock Temple Cave. Several forested limestone outcrops surrounded by rice fields are present in the surrounding area. Remnants of evergreen, deciduous and mangrove forests are also present (Görföl et al. 2018). Aside from a single male caught in evergreen forest, the five other specimens from Phnom Kulen National Park, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia were caught at a southwest-facing cave entrance in an area of semi-evergreen forest with scattered rocky outcrops and boulders. All three specimens from Kampot were caught at the entrance of Bat Khteas Cave, Chhngauk Hill, Kampot Province. The isolated karst hill where the cave is located is surrounded by seasonal wet rice cultivation, with many local farmers also cultivating small amounts of durian, banana, mango, coconuts, guava and cashew (Chheang et al. 2013, Phauk et al. 2013).	The species is at least partly a cave-dweller, hence the disturbance of its roosting sites may be a threat. Also, one of the localities is a riverine habitat and it may be destroyed by dam construction works.	The species is known from only about 20 specimens from four countries and seven localities.	Unknown	The known distribution of this species is limited to Laos and southern Vietnam (Görföl et al. 2014), Cambodia and Myanmar (Görföl et al. 2018). It has been found at Bat Khteas Cave, Chhngauk Hill, Kampot Province and in Phnom Kulen National Park, Siem Reap Province, both in Cambodia (Chheang et al. 2013, Phauk et al. 2013). It is suspected that the species is more widely distributed in the Indo-Burma subregion (Görföl et al. 2018). Terrestrial	The species occurs in three protected areas, but this not always ensures its protection. One of its localities may be destroyed by constructional works of a river dam.
