Allen, 1866 20000000	Rhogeessa parvula	Least Concern 2019	2018-07-04 00:00:00 UTC	3.1	English	This species is listed as Least Concern in view of its wide distribution, being considered as a common species at some parts of its range, and because it is unlikely to be declining at nearly the rate required to qualify for listing in a threatened category.	It is found in thorny and deciduous forest and is know from sea level up to 1,500 meters (Ceballos and Oliva 2005). The populations on continental Mexico are poorly known or studied, contrary to the high number of animals recorded from Tres Marias islands. Similar to other species in the genus, this one is expected to be insectivorous (Roots and Baker 2007). In Sinaloa, it was captured mainly over ponds or streams, close to where subtropical forests are found (Roots and Baker 2007).	There are no known threats to this species at present. But, ;it has been recommended that habitat should be protected at the localities where the species is present, because the number of localities at which this has been collected is low given the geographic range of the species (Roots and Baker 2007).	This species is considered as common (J. Arroyo-Cabrales pers. comm.). They have been regularly collected over the years, occupying different kinds of roosts (Roots and Baker 2007), at Tres Marias islands, they can be seen in considerable numbers (Wilson 1991).	Stable	This species is endemic to Mexico, and occurs from Oaxaca to Sonora, and at Tres Marías Islands, over the Pacific coasts of Mexico (Ceballos and Oliva 2005, Simmons 2005, Roots and Baker 2007). This does not include R. velilla ;from western Ecuador (see Baird et al . 2008). Terrestrial	This species is found in several protected areas through its extensive geographic distribution.
