The two identified specimens were recorded from lowland tropical moist forest in southern Cameroon and southern Congo. Currently, there is little information currently available on the natural history of this species.	Threats to this species are currently unknown.	Nothing is known about population trend and size for Casinycteris campomaanensis .	Unknown	The species has only been recorded from the type locality: Village of Nkoélon-Mvini, Campo-Ma’an area, South Region, Cameroon. A second specimen collected at Goumina (Republic of the Congo) was originally identified as Casinycteris ophiodon (Dowsett et al . 1991), but its measurements fit well with Casinycteris campomaanensis . In addition, a third specimen collected in Nigeria may belong to this species (J. Fahr, personal communication). Terrestrial	This species is undoubtedly present in the Campo Ma'an National Park, a protected area located near the type locality. Further studies are however needed to better understand the distribution, natural history and threats of this species.	Afrotropical FALSE	FALSE	Global	Simmons, N. B., & Cirranello, A. L. (2023).
