Previous records of this species have been under the name ;Platyrrhinus helleri , which was recognized as a species complex by Velazco and Patterson (2008) and Velazco et al. (2010). This species is a small nomadic frugivorous, probably specialized on ;Ficus ; figs (Gardner 1977), and inhabiting humid lowland forests east of the Andes. Known roosting sites include foliage, branches, hollow trees and logs, as well as caves, tunnels, buildings, bridges, and road culverts (Ferrell and Wilson 1991), however, this list may include populations now under different species names.	Threats to this species are unknown at the present.	This species has been split from P. helleri , which has been described as a very common species in the Neotropics (Ferrell and Wilson 1991). Actual data on distribution and local populations suggest that this species is equally common ;through its wide geographic distribution.	Stable	Platyrrhinus incarum is known from southeastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, and Guyana (Velazco et al. 2010). Terrestrial	The wide geographic range of Platyrrhinus incarum overlaps national parks, natural reserves and protection forests through the eastern versant of the central Andes. Given this species is locally common, it probably faces lesser conservation concerns than other species. Some specific information about the ecology of the species, including potential threats, needs to be addressed.	Neotropical FALSE	FALSE	Global	Simmons, N. B., & Cirranello, A. L. (2023).
